ACE 2025 (Alberta Condo Expo)

The Alberta Condo Expo (ACE) is Western Canada’s largest event for the condominium community, offering a combination of education, networking, and an industry-focused trade show. Designed for condo board members, owners, and professional condo managers, ACE provides practical solutions and strategies to help navigate the complexities of condo living with confidence.

Building Security Essentials for Condominiums

DATE: Wednesday, February 18, 2026
TIME: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Safety and security are top priorities for every condominium community. This session, co-presented with Matt from Sharc, will explore practical strategies for enhancing building security, from access control systems and surveillance options to everyday practices that reduce risk.

Drawing on real-world recommendations and technical expertise, participants will learn how to assess vulnerabilities, prioritize upgrades, and implement solutions that balance effectiveness with cost. Board members and managers will leave with a stronger understanding of how to protect both residents and property.

Communication, Compassion, and Community Wellbeing

Condo Mental Health Matters explores the realities of mental health within condominium communities — where governance, communication, and human connection intersect. Presented in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association, this session combines expert guidance with real-world insight from condo managers, legal professionals, and community leaders to help boards and managers navigate challenging conversations, reduce stigma, and foster supportive, resilient communities.

PET PEEVES:
Practical Strategies for Managing Pet Conflicts, Compliance, and Compassion in Condo Communities

DATE: Wednesday, March 25, 2026
TIME: 12:00 – 1:30 pm

Pets are often a source of both joy and conflict in condominium communities. This session, facilitated by Erin Berney of Field Law, will explore the legal and practical considerations boards face when managing pet and other animal related issues.

Topics include distinguishing service and support animals from pets, crafting enforceable bylaws and rules, navigating licensing and behavioral concerns, and addressing exemptions under the Human Rights Act and other legislation. Through real-world stories, legal insights, and communication strategies, participants will gain practical tools—including a decision-making flow chart and resident communication tips—to help boards manage pet issues responsibly, fairly and effectively.

Condominium Management (CM) Series

CCI North Alberta’s Condo Management Series provides foundational knowledge about condo management and is designed specifically for condo managers, and board members. There are 3 levels in the series, start at the beginning with Condo Management 100 and move up from there.

New managers, board members, & owners:

  • CM100: Find your footing with a foundation in the fundamentals of condo management and board duties.
  • CM200: Develop more skills and gain a deeper understanding of specialized topics and aspects of condo management.
  • CM300: Complete your condo management education with this final dive into details

CM100 lays the groundwork for effective condominium management, providing essential tools and knowledge for managers, board members, and owners.
