CCI North Alberta Safe In-Person Events Policy

At CCI North Alberta, we are committed to holding safe and enjoyable events that benefit the condominium community. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with these guidelines, which make it possible for us to hold in-person events while we continue to navigate the challenges associated with COVID-19.

Respectful Environment

CCI North Alberta is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where our community can network, collaborate, and learn about the condominium community. We ask all participants joining us for events to be respectful and courteous to one another. Together we can make sure that our events are enjoyable and informative for all attendees, members, volunteers, and staff.

Masks

Masking is recommended but not required at CCI North Alberta events.

Masks will be worn by CCI staff and volunteers at indoor events where distancing is not possible to maintain.

Sanitizer

CCI North Alberta will provide sanitizer for attendee use at our events, and we encourage participants to frequently sanitize or wash their hands.

Physical Distancing

In accordance with public health advice on how to limit the spread of COVID-19, we will be taking steps to ensure that participants can maintain physical distancing of 2 meters at indoor events where possible and reasonable.

Rules for Symptomatic Individuals

Individuals who develop symptoms associated with COVID-19 or who test positive for COVID-19 in the 5 days leading up to an event are prohibited from attending CCI North Alberta events. Individuals who are not able to attend a CCI North Alberta event because they develop symptoms or test positive are eligible for a full refund if they

  1. Refrain from attending the in-person event in whole
  2. Contact CCI North Alberta no later than 24 hours after the event to alert us of the cancellation.

Where practicable, CCI North Alberta will make efforts to provide content or access in alternative formats. CCI North Alberta makes no guarantee that content or access will be available in formats other than in-person attendance at events.

Individuals who are presenting with symptoms associated with COVID-19 at a CCI North Alberta event may be asked to leave. If asked to leave they will be provided with a voucher equivalent to their registration fee that can be put toward future CCI North Alberta events and services.

For the 2022 Alberta Condo Expo (ACE), we are offering an online conference experience.

Vaccine Requirements

CCI North Alberta events will follow the policy of our host venue with respect to the requirement to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test. Information on these requirements will be shared with registration information.

For the 2022 Alberta Condo Expo, we are hosting the in-person portion at MacEwan University, which does not have any requirements for proof of vaccination or proof of negative test for guests to campus.

Communications Protocol for COVID-19 Exposure at CCI Events

While we are taking precautions to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19 at CCI North Alberta events, with in-person events, there is always a risk of exposure.

If you test positive for COVID-19 within 5 days of attending a CCI North Alberta event, we request that you notify us by calling 780-453-9004 or emailing ed@ccinorthalberta.com so that we can support the health and safety of our staff and volunteers. On a case-by-case basis we may need to share responsible communications to alert other attendees that they may need to take additional precautions. Your confidentiality will be protected in accordance with the Alberta Personal Information and Protection Act. Personally identifiable information will not be shared.

In the event we need to communicate with other attendees, we will use the registration information collected to alert other attendees that an individual has tested positive for COVID-19.
